Cafe Connect gives members a moment to share business progress

A simple question set the direction for CanCham's Cafe Connect on 29 August 2026: 'What's one positive thing that happened this month for your business?'

Members, entrepreneurs and professionals gathered for a morning of coffee and conversation, with the guided discussion inviting them to share recent achievements and hear what had been happening in other businesses.

The focus on progress gave the gathering a common starting point. Participants exchanged experiences, ideas and perspectives, making space to reflect on developments that can be easy to pass over during a busy working month.

The informal format put members' own experiences at the centre of the event. It offered a different kind of exchange from a speaker-led seminar: the conversation developed around the people in the room and the business progress they chose to share.

For CanCham, Cafe Connect provides a setting for relationships to develop through regular conversation. The August gathering combined that networking role with an opportunity to recognise achievements and learn from fellow members.
