CanCham members call for stronger business connections at Seekers gathering
An open discussion at CanCham Connect identified three member priorities: cross-sector networking, Canada-Cambodia links and access to business partners.
More cross-sector networking and stronger Canada-Cambodia business connections topped the priorities raised by members at CanCham Connect on 24 April 2026. Held at Seekers, one of the Chamber's newer corporate members, the evening combined a board update with an open conversation about what members need from their business network.
The programme included an update on the board's first-quarter work, a question-and-answer session and a live member feedback exercise using Mentimeter. This gave participants several ways to contribute, from questions in the room to responses collected during the discussion.
What members want from their Chamber
Three priorities emerged: opportunities to meet people beyond their own sectors, closer commercial links between Canada and Cambodia, and better access to partners, regional networks and the Embassy. Together, they point to a clear expectation that membership should help people make useful connections, not simply attend more events.
The evening also gave the board direct feedback alongside its report to members. At Seekers, that exchange took place in a member business, bringing the Chamber's planning conversation into the community it serves.
The priorities provide a practical basis for shaping future networking and partnership activities around the relationships members are seeking.
