Cambodia's first national WEPs Awards put inclusive business leadership in focus
CanCham joined a UN Women session introducing awards that recognise gender equality, inclusive workplaces and women's empowerment in business.
Cambodia's first national Women's Empowerment Principles Awards are bringing attention to the role businesses play in advancing gender equality and creating inclusive workplaces. CanCham Cambodia joined the information session organised by UN Women Cambodia on 13 May 2026.
The session introduced the 2026 Asia-Pacific WEPs Awards and their national dimension in Cambodia. The initiative recognises businesses demonstrating leadership in gender equality, workplace inclusion and women's empowerment.
For the Chamber's community, the subject connects business leadership with the opportunities companies create for people. It places the workplace, as well as the wider contribution of a business, within the conversation about women's economic participation.
The information session gave participating organisations an opportunity to understand the initiative and its focus. CanCham's involvement formed part of its support for inclusive and sustainable business leadership in Cambodia.
Applications for the round introduced at the session closed on 30 June 2026.
