CanCham contributes an SME voice to Cambodia's financial-inclusion strategy

CanCham Cambodia is bringing small-business perspectives into the development of Cambodia's National Financial Inclusion Strategy 2026-2030, with representation on the technical working group focused on women's financial inclusion.
Deputy Chair Monika Nowaczyk represented the Chamber at the strategy's official launch on 23 April 2026. The National Bank of Cambodia convened the event with support from the Asian Development Bank and the United Nations Capital Development Fund.
A broader view of access to finance
The Chamber's involvement is through the Pillar 1 Technical Working Group on Women's Financial Inclusion. Its work will feed into the national strategy, creating a channel for the experiences of small and medium-sized enterprises to inform policy discussion.
The agenda covers access to finance, savings, insurance and financial resilience for women and female youth. That breadth matters: financial inclusion concerns the tools people use to manage everyday needs and withstand setbacks, as well as their ability to obtain financing.
For CanCham, participation connects the concerns of businesses with the institutions developing the national approach. The working group provides a setting to bring those perspectives into the strategy as the next stage of work develops.
