Saskatchewan trade dialogue highlights agricultural and energy partnerships

Agricultural technology, clean energy and value-added processing were among the opportunities explored when CanCham Cambodia joined a regional trade dialogue with Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe on 30 April 2026. The exchange brought Cambodia's business community into a wider conversation about Canadian expertise and Indo-Pacific markets.
Speaking through the Canadian Chambers of the Indo-Pacific network, Premier Moe outlined Saskatchewan's role in global food and energy security. He also discussed the province's international engagement, including its commercial relationships with China and India.
For businesses working in Cambodia, the relevant connections extend beyond buying and selling commodities. Agricultural technology, sustainable value chains and technology transfer were identified as potential areas where Canadian capabilities could connect with business needs in the Cambodian market.
The dialogue followed CanCham Cambodia's entry into the newly established regional chamber network earlier in April. It offered an early example of how that network can connect members with Canadian decision-makers and sector perspectives outside Cambodia.
The exchange explored areas for partnership; it was not an announcement of a specific investment or commercial agreement. Its value lay in identifying where further business conversations could begin.
